Clanfield FC Under 13’s Youth Football Team

Adept Power Solutions Ltd are proud sponsors of the Clanfield FC Under 13's Youth team. The Clanfield Youth team are currently riding high in the fiercely competitive Portsmouth Sunday Youth League, Division B. The APS sponsorship has allowed the team to purchase a brand new kit for the 2007/08 season and the promising team of youngsters are ably managed by Adept Power Solutions very own Kevin Jackson.

Flora London Marathon 2008 in aid of Macmillan Cancer Support

At 9am on the 13th of April 2008 our very own Managing Director, Iain Mackay, will be attempting the 'longest walk' of his life as he aims to complete the Flora London Marathon, an astonishing distance of 26.2 miles. Despite various niggly injuries Iain has already valiantly raised money for charity by completing various training races, including the Hampton Court 10K and the 10 mile BUPA Great South run.

Iain's continuing training programme will include the relatively short (13.1 miles!) Asics Reading Half Marathon on Sunday the 2nd of March, all of which aims towards the final goal of raising £1,900 for Macmillan Cancer Support.

Andover FC Under 14’s Youth Football Team

Adept Power Solutions Ltd are proud sponsors of the Andover FC Under 14's Youth team. The APS sponsorship allowed the team to purchase a brand new kit for the 2007/08 season and the Youth team play in the highly regarded Testway Youth Football League.

Mt Everest Base Camp Trek 2008 in aid of Cancer Research UK

On the 16th of May 2008 Marc Cresswell, the APS Marketing & Internet guru, will be departing for Kathmandu in Nepal to attempt a high altitude and long distance trek to the Base Camp of Mt Everest. Following in the footsteps of Hilary and Tenzing Marc will reach heights in excess of 18,000 ft and suffer the possibility of High Altitude sickness in order to try and raise over £2000 for Cancer Research UK.

In total Marc will trek a distance of over 121 kms at high altitude and in true Himalayan spirit will be camping all the way there and back with a team of fellow trekkers and Sherpas. So far training has included running the Congleton Half Marathon and 6 months without smoking!
