Environmental Policy

APS supplies, installs and maintains standby power systems as detailed in our scope of registration. The Company and all persons working for us or on our behalf are committed to protecting the environment by complying with all regulatory, industry, customer and other identified environmental requirements.

“To be environmentally aware and operate responsibly at all times, wherever our operations may be undertaken.”

We will:

  • Minimise any risk to the environment and personnel.
  • Conserve natural resources through the responsible use of energy and materials.
  • Continually improve our environmental performance, with an emphasis on pollution prevention.
  • Train and develop employees so they carry out their work in line with this policy and its objectives.

We will work with our suppliers and subcontractors to:

  • Enhance our environmental performance.
  • Engage, wherever possible, with organisations that have sound environmental policies.
  • Ensure all waste products are transported and disposed of in the correct and fully traceable manner.

We will ensure that all activities are carried out in conformance with all relevant environmental legislation that relates to our environmental aspects. To achieve these commitments, we have implemented an Environmental Management System that satisfies the requirements of BS EN ISO 14001: 2015.

Our ongoing commitments include:

  • Improving environmental performance and reducing the environmental impacts of waste generation and disposal.
  • Setting annual environmental improvement objectives and targets.
  • Regularly monitoring and reviewing progress toward those objectives and targets.

These objectives and targets are communicated throughout the organisation and to all persons working for or on behalf of the Company. This policy is also available for the public to view on our website.

Consequently, it is important that everyone fully understands and complies with this policy at all times. If anyone has any environmental concerns, they must advise their Supervisor or Manager without delay.
