During a service visit, a certified Adept Power engineer completes a structured, comprehensive health check designed to inspect every potential failure point. This process begins with a thorough visual inspection, a review of the alarm and event logs, verification of current firmware and communication tests. Crucially, the engineer measures battery health by checking individual cell voltage and performing an internal resistance test to accurately determine remaining lifespan. You will then receive a simple written report that clearly prioritises findings into what is fine, what needs to be watched closely and what requires immediate attention, complete with costs and timeframes.

For most standard office environments and server rooms, servicing the UPS annually is the correct frequency to maintain reliability. However, if your room runs warm, the load is deemed truly mission-critical or the operating environment is particularly dusty, a twice-yearly service schedule is a safer choice to mitigate risk. UPS batteries are a key concern; they usually last between three and five years, depending on the operating temperature and the frequency of power cycles.
